Personal favorite is Woody's for cheap drinks, older men, and bar games but have also had good experiences at the new LVL space, Fluid, and to a lesser extent, DIX.įor the standardized test lovers out there, my take is that Pride : Summerfest :: Walker's Point Parade : Locust St DaysĮdit: For an intro to the scene, my night would probably start at Woody's or Walker's Pint (depending on gender presentation) and I guarantee the regulars will show you the ropes - we're an inviting bunch. That said, Milwaukee's LGBT+ scene is incredible and diverse and overall lovely in Walker's Point - a portion of 2nd st is shut down every year for the parade. Relatively steep entry fee, and reduced to just another "Summerfest Grounds Drinking and Music Festival" without all the uniqueness pride typically brings. I'll push back a little and say that compared to other markets I've been in, MKE Pride (at Summerfest) is easily the most corporatized.
